| This is a 1929 Graham Paige 4 door sedan. It came to me straight from 30+ years in a Missouri shed. The car took a ground up restoration with the purchase of a number of new and used parts. The engine was good as it arrived but needed to be taken apart and checked out, re-sealed and re assembled. The car itself needed completely new roof wood (dry rot) and termites ate the floor wood. The body was surprisingly straight and was redone in 1970 Cadillac Madeira Maroon Acrylic enamel paint with the fenders in black. The paint was sanded and buffed to a high gloss. The interior was done in gray velour that was a close match to the original mohair. This car was the second that I had done for a pair of brothers from Wisconsin. The labor costs on a car in this condition would be about $6,500. It was finished in 1995. |
